GREAT VICTORY WITH TWO NEW GOALS BY THE GUAJE

The 18th game of the season in the National Spanish League was once again enormously positive for Valencia CF, and also increased the individually registers of the asturian player. The ones from the capital of the Turia beat Villarreal easily in the Valencian Community Derby and won the match with a comfortable 4-1 in the score board.

David Villa, that was again the captain of the team, and was again the main protagonist of the match and participated in all the decisive actions of the afternoon. In the 6th minute he was the player who ran the right wing to pass onto Silva, another of the protagonists of last night’s match, who passed the ball onto Ever, so that he could shoot past Diego López and scored the first goal of the night. Only twenty minutes later, it was again the Guaje who was faster than the “yellow” defenders and stole a ball to face the goalkeeper, the last defender was only able to pull at his shirt and throw him to the ground, which meant a red card and a penalty. It was Villa who scored this first penalty and changed the score to a 2-0. With this positive result and also with one player more on the pitch, the locals increased their dominion of the match and controlled the visiting team with many attacking actions and a good combining play and never losing their nerves in defence.

In the second half the superiority was translated into more goals for the locals. In one of the numerous chances for the ché team, David Silva took advantage of a bad defensive shot by Capdevila to score the third goal. Only one isolated mistake of the valencian defense was used by Nilmar to score the first visitors goal. And when the match was ending, another counterattack directed by David Silva, sent a great pass for the Guaje to seal the fourth goal and his second of the night.

This means that Unai Emery’s team is safely located in the third position of the league and has a difference of 5 and 7 points with Mallorca and Deportivo de la Coruña, fourth and fifth in the league and immediate chasers of the valencians. Thus, Valencia took advantage of the defeat of Real Madrid, second in the league, to reduce the difference to only 3 points with the team from the capital of Spain.

This way the team from Mestalla recovers the supporters backup after the sour defeat in the Cup last week in la Coruña.

Individually, David Villa, with these two goals, gets to his goal number 100 with the valencian team in the Spanish League, after 151 matches played by him in the four and a half seasons in the team. Nowadays he is still the top goal scorer along with Lionel Messi with 14 goals in 18 matches.

The guaje is still achieving historical results with his Club and with Valencia CF, who are still in the top positions of the league with only one match to go to finish the first round of the season.
